Society should be ashamed of their infatuation for Hollywood celebrities!

Nowadays someone can't go long before hearing the latest and greatest news about Hollywood. I am disgusted. You see reports about names like Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan and Amy Winehouse almost daily. What is wrong with this society? How can one person become so infatuated and interested in people like this? These "stars" or "celebrities" offer nothing interesting to me, not even looks (most of the stuff we see is airbrused or surgically enhanced anyway). They have the personality of mutated opposum fetuse's and enjoy nothing more than spending money on useless materialistc things and performing terrible mockeries in public places. Now I understand that a few are not like this, but isn't there always a handful of people in a group that are different anyway?

   Now this isn't all their fault. You people have made them this way. They are receiving attention they don't deserve, attention not one person should ever get (other than real leaders like the President or other important public figure's, and even they don't deserve that much attention). Sometimes I can almost understand why most celebrities act the way they do, because nobody will treat them like a human being. The real problem may not be these so-called "celebrities", its you fools who waste your time and brainpower finding out about and discussing their latest meltdown and new hot celebrity romance! Who really cares, stuff far worse or far better happens everday and people rather hear about Britneys latest blow up and Lindsay's latest relapse! If only people would start to come to reality and focus on something productive other than those people, they have enough grandiosity as it is.
